UNILORIN VC felicitates Christians at Easter

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof Wahab Egbewole (SAN), has felicitated with Christians on the celebration of Easter.
This is contained in a statement on Friday by the university’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun.
Mr Egbewole described Easter as a sacred time when Christians worldwide commemorate the sacrifice and triumph of Jesus Christ.
The vice-chancellor, who also serves as secretary-general of the Association of West African Universities, highlighted Easter’s significance in honouring Christ’s greatness.
He urged Christians and others to reflect on the values of selflessness, civility, and unwavering faith symbolised by the Easter celebration.
Mr Egbewole also advised Christians to celebrate moderately and show kindness to the less privileged among relatives, friends, neighbours, and colleagues.
He praised the strong bond between Muslims and Christians within the university community, describing it as exemplary and essential for peace and unity.
The vice-chancellor wished Christian members of the university and beyond a peaceful, joyful, and fulfilling Easter celebration.
