Uba Sani has transformed Kaduna, which was toxic under El-Rufai: Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has lauded Kaduna Governor Uba Sani for transforming the state after his predecessor, Nasir El-Rufai, ended his “toxic” reign.
Mr Tinubu, in his speech at the commissioning of the new Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development in Rigachikun and a 300-bed hospital in Millennium City, lauded Mr Sani for outperforming his predecessor.
“Uba Sani has performed wonders and changed the environment from a previous toxic, uncontrollable environment to a state of life, progress, and development. I say thank you, my comrade,” Mr Tinubu said.
Mr Tinubu’s remarks come months after Mr El-Rufai dumped the All Progressives Congress to join the Social Democratic Party. The former Kaduna governor vowed to rally opposition parties to oust Mr Tinubu from office in 2027.
Mr El-Rufai had, in March, berated Mr Tinubu as a failure and admitted he supported him to be president despite knowing his Chicago cocaine and certificate forgery scandals.
The former Kaduna governor fell out with Mr Tinubu after the Senate blocked his ministerial appointment nomination. Mr El-Rufai accused Mr Tinubu of being behind the blocking of his appointment.
