U.S. rapper SleazyWorld Go heading to prison after felony conviction
A Kansas rap artist pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
According to court documents, Joseph Isaac, aka SleazyWorld Go, 28, of Kansas City, Kansas, pleaded guilty to one count of felon in possession of a firearm.
In 2016, Mr Isaac was convicted of armed robbery in Kent County Circuit Court in Michigan and sentenced to prison. He was paroled in September 2019.
His felony conviction prohibited him from possessing a firearm.
Federal law enforcement initiated a criminal investigation after seeing photos posted on social media of Isaac holding guns.
On October 19, 2022, agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) followed Isaac as he drove to a parking lot in Kansas City, Kansas.
After Mr Isaac parked, ATF agents saw him get out and retrieve a firearm from his vehicle. Later that day, law enforcement retrieved a pistol from the vehicle Mr Isaac was driving.
Mr Isaac’s known DNA was compared to DNA obtained from the pistol, and the results were consistent.
The rapper is scheduled to be sentenced on January 26, 2027.
