Two men remanded over alleged theft of vehicle parts worth N2.1 million

An Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday remanded two men, Sogo Egbebi and Husamotu Jubril, in a correctional centre for allegedly stealing vehicle parts valued at N2.1 million.
Egbebi, 19, and Jubril, 30, whose addresses were not provided, pleaded guilty to a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The Magistrate, O.A. Ogbe, ordered that the defendants be remanded in a correctional centre until March 5 for review of facts and sentencing.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Inspector Adegeshin Famiyiwa, told the court that the defendants committed the offences between August 2025 and January 26, at Sholaja Street, Itamaga area of Ikorodu, Lagos.
The prosecutor alleged that the defendants and others at large stole 33 alternators valued at N1.5 million and 40 kick starters worth N594,000, belonging to the complainant, Jelili Saka.
He said the offences contravened Sections 287(7) and 412 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
