Trump bars Harvard from enrolling international students

The Donald Trump administration on Thursday stripped Harvard University of the right to enrol international students as a sanction for what his government claimed was tolerating antisemitism.
“Harvard can no longer enrol foreign students, and existing foreign students must transfer or lose their legal status,” said the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in a statement on Thursday.
“Consequences must follow to send a clear signal to Harvard and all universities that want to enjoy the privilege of enrolling foreign students, that the Trump administration will enforce the law and root out the evils of anti-Americanism and antisemitism in society and campuses,” Secretary Kristi Noem of the Homeland Security wrote in a letter to Harvard.
The Trump administration has already cancelled billions of dollars in funding from the Ivy League institution and threatened to revoke the tax-exempt status of the prestigious institution.
