Truck kills four, injures 43 in Oyo-Ogbomoso crash

A lone accident involving an articulated vehicle has killed four people and injured 43 others on Oyo-Ogbomoso Expressway.
The crash occurred on Wednesday.
The articulated vehicle, carrying humans and animals, drove into a ditch and veered off the road into a bush.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander in Oyo, Uche Chukwurah, confirmed the crash.
Mrs. Chukwurah said four people died while 43 others were injured.
The sector commander said 62 people were affected. The incident happened around the Sekona area on Oyo-Ogbomoso Expressway.
“The trailer was carrying goats, cows, and human beings, all adult males. Four people lost their lives, 43 people were injured while 16 people were rescued unhurt,” Mrs. Chukwurah said.
She said the corpses had been deposited in the morgue of the Ladoke Akintola Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, while the injured were taken to Ebuloluwa Clinic.
