Traditional ruler urges Sanwo-Olu’s govt to reconstruct some Badagry link roads

Abraham Ogabi, the Onimeke of Imeke Kingdom, Badagry, Lagos, on Sunday, appealed to the Lagos State government to reconstruct some link roads in Badagry communities.
Mr Ogabi made the appeal at a news conference on his 10th coronation anniversary in his palace in Imeke.
According to the traditional ruler, some of the roads include Barracks-Itoga, linking the Aradagun, Mowo and Agemowo axis and Ajara Agbovipe -Ikoga-Zebbe roads.
“The reconstruction of these roads will not only improve the lives of our people but will open up vast economic and social opportunities across Badagry.
“I have written a series of letters to the Ministry of Works and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu without any positive response.
“We have seen the positive impact of the Aradagun-Imeke-Iworo-Epeme road, and we ask the government to replicate such in other roads,” he said.
He, however, commended Mr Sanwo-Olu for completing projects within the area, urging him to match that momentum by reviving currently stalled infrastructure works.
The traditional ruler urged the government to complete the Elderly Care Home for the Badagry division in this domain.
Mr Ogabi said he had mapped out several lands for development in the town, urging the government and other well-meaning individuals to take advantage of the opportunity.
“Also, to as many that have bought landed property and yet to develop it in the town, I implore you to do something good on the land on time,” he said.
The traditional ruler said his commitment to protecting lives and property had made his reign peaceful.
He commended security agencies, including the army, police and the
State Security Service (SSS), for always being there for his people.
