Tinubu sends Borno flood victims trailers of rice, other grains

President Bola Tinubu has sent trailers of rice and other grains to Borno flood victims.
Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, in a short statement on X, said the relief materials were delivered by the minister of agriculture over the weekend.
“President Tinubu has sent 100 trailers of milled rice, 50 trailers of maize, 30 trailers of sorghum, and 20 trailers of millet to flood victims in Borno State,” Mr Onanuga said.
He added that “all the relief items were delivered by the minister of agriculture and food security at the weekend.”
A devastating flood submerged Maiduguri following the breakdown of spillways at the Alau Dam.
The flood affected residential areas and farmlands, cut off roads and displaced thousands of households.
