Tinubu renews Yelwa’s appointment as N-HYPPADEC MD

President Bola Tinubu has approved the renewal of the appointment of Abubakar Yelwa as managing director of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC).
This is contained in a statement by Segun Imohiosen, director, information and public relations, office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) on Wednesday in Abuja.
According to the statement, Mr Yelwa’s reappointment is for a second and final tenure of four years.
It further said that the appointment was in accordance with the provisions of section 93 of the Electricity Act, 2023.
The statement quoted the president as urging Mr Yelwa to consolidate on the gains recorded by the commission and to bring greater innovation and dedication to the discharge of its mandate.
