Adamson Ayinde, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Industrial Training and Development, says President Bola Tinubu has expanded opportunities for youth participation in governance.

He said this on Sunday in Calabar, during the inauguration of the Cross River chapter executives and polling unit structure of “Project Beyond 2027”.

Mr Ayinde said the Tinubu administration has demonstrated commitment to youth inclusion by creating opportunities for young Nigerians to contribute to governance and national development.

“I can boldly say that this is the government of the youth. One of the things the president has done is that he has been able to give young people opportunities,” he said.

Mr Ayinde, also the Director of Strategic Communication of Project Beyond 2027, claimed that between 75 and 80 per cent of Mr Tinubu’s cabinet members are young people.

He recalled that the president had adopted a similar approach during his tenure as governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007.

The presidential aide also cited ongoing infrastructure and healthcare projects as evidence of the administration’s commitment to national development.

“You can testify to the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and so many other roads. These are things he is doing. When it comes to health, go and check the records, building hospitals, and giving employment to doctors,” he said.

Mr Ayinde therefore urged young Nigerians to join hands and support his re-election bid in 2027.
