Tinubu govt reiterates commitment to business-friendly environment

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, says the federal government is committed to creating a business-friendly environment.
Mr Edun said this in a crucial meeting with the president of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, according to a statement on Tuesday by his ministry.
The meeting focused on the need to enhance private-sector participation.
The minister said the move was to boost the country’s economic growth and development, adding that the government was committed to creating a safe and conducive environment that would foster private sector investments.
Mr Edun said the aim was to unlock new economic potential and create job opportunities for the teeming youth in the country.
The minister said President Bola Tinubu was committed to creating a business-friendly environment that fosters enterprise growth.
According to the minister, the government will continue to implement supportive policies and reforms to unlock the private sector’s potential, drive innovation, and accelerate sustainable economic transformation.
Mr Edun said that due to the government’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment and the private sector’s eagerness to invest, Nigeria was poised for sustainable economic transformation and growth.
He said the partnership between the government and the Dangote Group was a significant step towards unlocking the country’s economic potential.
