Tinubu confronting devil holding Nigeria down, will be re-elected in 2027: Presidency

President Bola Tinubu is bent on exorcising the demon terrorising Nigeria with the determination to make the country the ‘giant of Africa’ again.
According to Sunday Dare, a presidential spokesman, Mr Tinubu will be re-elected in 2027, given his commitment to confronting and addressing the critical challenges holding Nigeria back.
Mr Dare, who stated this in an interview aired on Micon, a podcast anchored by Seun Okinbaloye, said, “President Bola Tinubu will be re-elected in 2027. More critically, he is a president who understands that this giant has been punching below its weight, who is now waking up those critical things that we prefer to sidestep or just procrastinate about, (and) is beginning to interrogate and confront the devil that has held this country down.
“This is primarily because of the policies and reforms he has put in place. Look at the alignment of the policies touching key sectors of the economy. For instance, over 1000 health centres are fully operational across the country. Across sectors, the story now is different from what we used to have.”
Asked about the unprecedented hardship in the country despite Mr Tinubu’s so-called economic policies, Mr Dare explained that policies do take time before they begin to materialise into meaningful, tangible development.
“Policies take time,” stated the presidential spokesman. “When you look at the top economic experts, they give a time of between four to six years before you can really see their impact. I’m talking about key policies, not even initiatives.”
Mr Dare added, “The signs on the wall are that it took this president to give the support to the focus across sectors. When you look at the sheer number of policies and initiatives that have been onboarded in just two years, you will see leadership at depth.”
Meanwhile, the African Democratic Congress vowed on Thursday to wrest power from Mr Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress in 2027, adding that the coalition party was not interested in truncating Nigeria’s democracy.
“We are not soldiers. We are politicians. We don’t have bullets. We only have the ballots. When the time comes, we will only present our solutions and an alternative vision of the future to the Nigerian people and leave them to make their choice,” said the party’s interim spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi.
