Three artisans arraigned over alleged theft of block-moulding machines

Fifty-year-old Sina Olasunkanmi, Shola Kehinde, 34 and Babatunde Adebowale, 25, were on Wednesday arraigned in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State, over an alleged N3 million theft.
The three, whose addresses were not provided, were charged with conspiracy and stealing and receiving stolen property.
They however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Prosecutor, ASP Anthony Igori, told the court that the defendants committed the offences sometime in August, at Jericho area, Ibadan.
Mr Igori said Olasunkanmi stole two blocks of moulding machine, one block of vibrator machine, 500 pieces of pallets and dumpy moulding machine worth N3 million and belonging to Kayode Shobanjo.
He said Kehinde and Adebowale received the stolen items from Olasunkanmi, knowing they were stolen. The prosecutor said the offences contravened Sections 517 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Olaolu Olanipekun granted the defendants bail in the sum of N 400, 000 each with two reliable sureties each in like sum.
He adjourned the case until December 5 for hearing.
