Three arraigned for breach of trust

On Wednesday, the police arraigned three men in the Karu Upper Area Court, Abuja, for criminal conspiracy, breach of trust, and cheating.
The defendants, Kusanihyel Gambo, Adejoh Suleiman and Dahiru Abubakar, who were of different addresses, were charged with criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and cheating.
They, however, denied committing the crime.
The prosecution counsel, Ayotunde Adeyanju, told the court that the complainant, Babayo Zuberu, reported the matter at the Karu Police Station on February 10.
The complainant alleged that he brought 700 bags of rice to deliver with his vehicle at ‘Golden Ventures Limited’, Karu, on the same date.
“After delivering the items to Gambo, who happened to be the cashier, he, however, conspired with Suleiman and Abubakar, all workers at the said company, to dupe the complainant.
“The defendants instead dishonestly converted the complainant’s money (N300,000) to their own personal use, and lied that they had mistakenly credited the money to one unknown account,” Mr Adeyanju said.
The judge, Isa Adamu, granted the defendants bail of N300,000 each and one surety in like sum each.
He adjourned the case until April 24 for a hearing.
