The police on Wednesday charged three men before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, for allegedly stealing vehicles worth N12.5 million.

They were alleged to have stolen a Renault Master bus worth nine million naira and a Nissan Almera car worth N3.5 million.

The defendants are Musa Ogundimu, 36; Tirimisiyu Adio, 50; and Azeez Abeeb, 27.

The trio whose addresses were not provided are standing trial on charges bordering on conspiracy, stealing and receiving stolen items.

They each, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecutor, Adeshina Folaranmi, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on September 17, 2025, at about 7:00 a.m. at Iwo Road, Ibadan.

The offences contravene the provisions of sections 390(9), 427 and 516 of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.

The magistrate, Oluwabusayo Osho, granted Messrs Ogundimu and Adio bail in the sum of N4 million each with two sureties each in like sum.

She also granted Mr Abeeb bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The court adjourned the case until June 1 for hearing.
