Ten persons committed suicide within three months in Oyo: Police

The Oyo State Police Command says no fewer than 10 suicide cases were recorded in the state between June and September 2022.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Adebowale Williams, disclosed this in an interactive session with journalists on Wednesday in Ibadan.
Mr Williams said the development was worrisome considering the number involved.
According to him, three people died in June, two in July, while three and two others died in August and September, respectively.
The commissioner gave the names of those involved to include Basiru Ayomide,18; Obed Masoyi, 28; Oladimeji John; Alawode Idowu, 50 and Adebayo Israel, 60.
Others were Sikiru Rafiu, Baba Mariam, Osasenage Osamade, 16, Peter John and Abiodun Abdulraheem, 28.
