Suspected ‘Yahoo boy’ nabbed with human skull, charms in Ondo

Franklin Akinyosuyi, a suspected internet fraudster, aka ‘Yahoo boy’, has been arrested with a human skull and fetish items in Ondo town, the headquarters of Ondo West Local Council Area of Ondo state.
Mr Akinyosuyi, 26, was apprehended by the operatives of the anti-crime section of the Ondo Police Command at the Funmbi Fagun police divisional office in the town.
Peoples Gazette gathered from sources that the suspect was arrested after the human skull he allegedly deposited in a black sack and kept in a section of the compound where he lives was noticed by the landlord’s children.
The children immediately raised the alarm, leading to the invitation of the police to the compound.
One of the sources, who pleaded to be anonymous, revealed that the police team searched the suspect’s apartment and discovered several human parts and blood, fetish items, and charms among several incriminating objects.
Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the spokeswoman for the state police, confirmed the arrest of the suspect in a statement on Sunday, saying he’s currently facing interrogation.
Ms Odunlami-Omisanya explained that the suspect, who initially told the police that he was a photographer and owner of a boutique store in Ondo town, allegedly revealed how he brought all the items from a herbalist in Ikirun, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State.
“The suspect (Akinyosuyi) was challenged by his landlord for keeping a bag in the corner of the compound. The landlord became suspicious and asked the young man to open the bag, when he did, a human skull was found in the bag.
“After he was arrested, he claimed it was given to him by a native doctor in Osun state to enhance his business, but the investigation is ongoing, and the suspect is in custody,” she said.
