Suspected cultists nabbed with guns, other weapons in Lagos

The police in Lagos State have arrested three suspected cultists terrorising residents of Ire-Akari Estate and environs in the Isolo Local Council Development Area of the state.
The police spokesman in the state, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated on Sunday that the suspects were arrested on Saturday night in the Idimu area of the state.
“Following receipt of a complaint, police swung into action by deploying intelligence assets to the area.
“Police nabbed three of the cultists in a hotel somewhere in Idimu,’’ he stated.
Mr Hundeyin added that guns and other dangerous weapons were recovered from the suspects.
Residents of Ire-Akari Estate and environs have regularly reported to the police that cultists’ activities were paralysing the area’s well-being.
