Stop insulting my political opponents, Peter Obi begs supporters

Peter Obi has asked his supporters to stop passing crude remarks against his political opponents.
The presidential aspirant said he remained grateful for the support he’s getting from his supporters far and near, but that they should desist from attacking his rivals.
“It has been brought to my attention, and I have also observed that some of my numerous supporters are making personal attacks on other aspirants/candidates.
“Whilst thanking you for your support, which I sincerely value and appreciate, I humbly appeal that we all imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship and avoid name-calling or personal attacks on other aspirants and candidates.
“The common goal is to make Nigeria better. Elections are a democratic contest and need not be adversarial. -PO,” Mr Obi said.
The politician joined Labour Party on Friday after resigning from the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party. He is expected to bear the flag of his new party at the upcoming presidential elections next February.
