SSS nabs protesters waving Russian flag during protest, arrests tailors

The State Security Service has arrested some tailors who allegedly sewed Russian flags being distributed and waved during the #EndBadGovernance protest in Kano State.
In a post on its official X handle on Monday, the SSS also stated that some of their sponsors have been apprehended.
It however denied arresting one Adaramoye Michael, aka Michael Lenin.
It read, “The DSS can confirm that Adaramoye Michael (aka Michael Lenin) is not in its custody. Meanwhile, the Service has apprehended some tailors in Kano State responsible for making Russian flags being distributed in the area. Some of their sponsors have also been picked.”
The DSS also stated that the investigation was still ongoing.
The protesters, comprised youths and some underage boys, running through the streets since Saturday, chanting, “We don’t want bad government” in Hausa, and calling on Russian President, Vladimir Putin, to intervene.
The protesters whose demonstrations were against hunger and poverty in the country, due to the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu, marched through streets in Bakin Zuwo and Koki in the Dala Local Government Area of the state including Sharada; and Gadon Kaya in Gwale LGA.
