Speaker Abbas inaugurates healthcare centre, unveils education, security projects in Kaduna

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has inaugurated several projects, including a 20-bed primary healthcare centre in Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The projects include educational facilities, a diagnostic centre and a police station aimed at improving access to education, healthcare and security.
Mr Abbas said the projects were designed to expand opportunities, improve public services and strengthen security across the local government area.
The speaker spoke at the groundbreaking ceremonies and the inauguration of the 20-bed primary healthcare centre at Zangon Dan Borno, Dogarawa Ward, Sabon Gari.
Mr Abbas said the projects would address critical community needs, including access to quality education, healthcare and vocational opportunities.
He said the construction of a 10-classroom block at Sa’idu Primary School, Samaru, would provide pupils with a conducive learning environment.
Mr Abbas said the proposed secondary school in Samaru would provide a pathway for pupils to continue their education beyond primary school.
He added that the National Open University study centre and computer-based testing centre at Dogarawa would expand access to higher education and digital examinations.
The speaker said the proposed diagnostic centre at Isa Chikaji Primary Healthcare Centre would improve access to medical diagnosis, provided it was adequately equipped and staffed.
He said the 20-bed healthcare facility at Zangon Dan Borno would deliver quality care, supported by qualified personnel, reliable services and proper referrals.
Mr Abbas said the proposed police station at the Queen Elizabeth Area Command, GRA, would support faster security responses and strengthen community cooperation.
He commended President Bola Tinubu, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and other stakeholders for supporting efforts to improve security and development.
The speaker urged contractors to adhere to specifications and schedules, while calling on residents to protect project sites and monitor the use of public funds.
Mr Abbas said the projects were part of efforts to translate the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda into tangible benefits for communities.
He assured residents that he would continue to facilitate development projects and exercise oversight to ensure their completion.
Mr Sani commended Mr Abbas for prioritising development projects in Sabon Gari.
Mr Sani, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Abdulkadir Meyere, urged residents to support the APC, saying that continuity in leadership would help sustain ongoing projects.
He said some projects facilitated by Mr Abbas might not be completed before the elections, urging residents to support the president’s re-election and Abbas’ return as speaker.
He called on residents to vote for the APC at all levels, saying continued support for the party would sustain development and ensure the completion of projects in Sabon Gari.
The member representing Sabon Gari Federal Constituency, Sadiq Ango-Abdullahi, said Abbas had facilitated several projects and empowerment programmes for constituents.
Mr Abdullahi said beneficiaries had received motorcycles, grinding machines and financial support for small-scale businesses.
The chairman of Sabon Gari Local Government, Jamilu Albani, commended Abbas for allocating funds to development projects in the area.
Mr Albani said the projects included roads, educational facilities and healthcare infrastructure, adding that residents would continue to benefit from the interventions.
He also called for support for the APC, saying the projects demonstrated the importance of continuity in governance
