Spain advance into finals, kick poor France out of Euro 2024

Spain advanced into the finals of the 2024 European Championship, kicking lacklustre France out of the competition.
The Spanish team fought their way back into the game from behind to secure a 2-1 win over France in Munich on Tuesday.
France took an early lead when Randal Kolo Muani headed in Kylian Mbappe’s precise cross, marking their first goal from open play in the tournament.
However, Spain equalised through 16-year-old Lamine Yamal, who scored with a stunning long-range effort. He made history as the youngest to score in the semi-finals of Euro competition.
Four minutes later, Dani Olmo put Spain ahead with a shot that took a deflection off Jules Kounde.
Spain will face either the Netherlands or England in the final, which is set to take place in Berlin on Sunday.
Spain and France met in the Euro 2024 semi-final for the fourth time. In their previous three knockout stage encounters at the tournament, the winners have gone on to win the European Championship.
