Sixth corpse recovered from seven-storey collapsed Lekki building

The sixth corpse has been recovered from the rubbles of a seven-storey uncompleted building, which collapsed on Oba Idowu Oniru Street, Lekki in Lagos on Sunday.
Ibrahim Farinloye, South-West zonal coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), confirmed the recovery of the sixth corpse.
Emergency response agencies recovered two bodies from the site on Sunday and recovered three others earlier on Monday.
The remote and immediate causes of the building’s collapse have yet to be ascertained.
Search and rescue operations are still ongoing as the rescue teams are digging down to ground zero.
