Shettima’s wife at transport minister son’s wedding advises couple on patience

Wife of the Vice President, Nana Shettima has urged women to prioritise the upbringing of their children towards their brighter future.
Mrs Shettima gave the advice on Saturday in Abuja at a reception of the marriage between Salaha Abdulaziz and Farouk Alkali.
The groom, Farouk, is a son of the Minister of Transport, Senator Said Alkali.
Mrs Shettima noted that it was the duty of a mother to instill values in her children to enhance what they would become in the future.
She further urged parents to build strong foundations for their children to advance nation`s glory.
She advised the new couple to be prayerful and cherish the love that binds them together.
She said, “I want to advise them to be patient and prayerful. Marriage is not a bed of roses. I am so grateful to be the mother of the day for this programme. I wish them all the best. May Allah be their guide.’’
Speaking, an aunt to the groom, Ummuna Ahmed, advised the couple to remain calm in most situations and be patient towards each other.
According to her, “behind every successful man, there is a woman”, and a woman must be ready all the time to help the man to succeed in his endeavours.
Ms Ahmed urged the couple to be united in raising and nurturing their children to create and secure a happy home for themselves.
Also speaking, mother of the bride, Saadatu Ahmad, who prayed for firm union for the couple, encouraged them to be sincere and take care of each other.
She said, “I am so happy. I can’t describe my happiness. My advice to them is to keep their secret within themselves. They should not involve third parties in their matters. They should learn to be patient. There are many benefits in being patience.’’
