Shekarau picks NNPP senatorial ticket for Kano Central

Ibrahim Shekarau, former Kano governor and education minister, has emerged as the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate for the Kano Central senatorial seat.
Mr Shekarau won the party’s ticket unopposed at the primaries in Gezawa, headquarters of Gezawa local government area of Kano.
Abdullahi Baffa also won the NNPP ticket for Kano North, while Kawu Sumaila got the ticket for Kano South.
