Seven security agents, eight terrorists killed in Pakistan’s checkpost attack

Seven security operatives and eight militants were killed in an attack on a checkpost in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, police said on Tuesday.
Officials told local media that the assault targeted a security forces checkpoint in Bajaur.
According to police, a group of militants attempted to breach the post, ramming an explosive-laden vehicle into its wall.
Following the attack, security forces launched a full-scale operation, killing eight militants and injuring several others.
Authorities said the operation is being extended to nearby areas to eliminate any remaining militants.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
