Send App by Flutterwave unveils ‘share and earn’ referral programme

Africa’s leading payments technology company, Flutterwave, has recently announced the launch of its referral program through Send App, its cross-border remittance product.
The integration of Swap into Send App has empowered users to effortlessly convert Nigerian Naira (NGN) to foreign currencies, facilitating smooth cross-border money transfers.
Remittances are a critical engine for Africa’s projected $1.5 trillion digital payment economy by 2030. Nigeria is a key contributor to this success; in 2024, remittances from the diaspora totaled over $21 billion, underscoring their vital importance to the nation’s economy and their role in fueling Africa’s digital payment growth.
The “Share and Earn” program is designed to reward both senders and receivers. Nigerian customers can earn up to ₦5,000 for successfully referring domestic customers who complete their first transaction of at least ₦200,000.
Similarly, inbound transfers from the US, UK, and Europe offer rewards for both parties, with senders receiving up to $20, £20, or €20 and the receiver in Nigeria getting up to ₦5,000. (Terms and conditions apply)
“Send App is more than just a remittance product for us at Flutterwave,” said Flutterwave Founder & CEO, Olugbenga ‘GB’ Agboola. “It goes even beyond incentives. We’re empowering our users to be direct champions of economic opportunity, making it even easier and more rewarding to send money across borders and within Nigeria for essential things like healthcare, tuition, and even summer vacations.”
With families now preparing for back-to-school expenses, tuition payments, and holiday travel, Send App’s Share and Earn program launches at the perfect time to reward Nigerians who send money and help their loved ones abroad receive even more value.
Send App also announced its summer campaign in July, offering users a suite of tips, guides, and exclusive promos designed to help them make the most of their summer holiday.
Senior Product Manager at Flutterwave, Temiloluwa Adesina, said, “We understand the vital role that trusted word-of-mouth plays in our community. The Share and Earn referral program is designed not only to reward our loyal users but also to empower them to share the invaluable experience of seamless and secure money transfers with their networks.”
