Senator felicitates Afenifere leader, Pa Fasoranti, @98

Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire (Ondo Central), has extolled the virtues of leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, on his 98th birthday.
Mr Adegbonmire in a statement on Saturday in Akure described Mr Fasoranti as a legendary figure and a true patriot who dedicated his life to selfless service and leadership.
The lawmaker praised the elder statesman’s contributions to the development of Nigeria, particularly his role in advocacy for democratic values.
He also acknowledged Mr Fasoranti’s leadership and mentorship, which he said had inspired many young people to get involved in politics and public service.
“Pa Fasoranti is an icon of democracy and a shining example of selfless leadership. His life is a testament to the power of dedication, hard work, and commitment to a noble cause. He has contributed immensely to the sustenance of democracy in the country. Fasoranti has been a prominent figure in Nigerian politics for many decades.
“His contributions to the country’s political and social development are widely recognised, and he continues to be a respected voice in the nation’s political landscape. I, therefore, join millions of Nigerians to celebrate this remarkable elder and statesman and I wish him a happy 98th birthday,” Mr Adegbonmire said.
