Salah named PFA Player of the Year ahead of De Bruyne

Liverpool forward Mohammed Salah has been named the winner of the 2021-2022 Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Player of the Year award.
Salah enjoyed a fantastic season for Liverpool.
This is the second time he would be winning the men’s award, this time beating Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne to the coveted prize.
Other nominees for the award were Salah’s teammates Virgil Van Dijk and Sadio Mane, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane.
The PFA Award is determined through votes cast by both present and former players.
