Ronaldo absent as Manchester United beat Liverpool in pre-season game

Erik ten Hag led Manchester United to an impressive 4-0 victory over Liverpool in a pre-season game at Bangkok on Tuesday.
Though Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo was absent from the pre-season tour due to personal issues, United grabbed all three points against Jürgen Klopp’s side in the pre-season game.
England winger Jadon Sancho opened the scoring for Manchester United, pushing the Red Devils ahead of Liverpool barely 13 minutes into the game.
Fred doubled United’s lead, scoring in the 30th minute, while Antonio Martial made it three for the Red Devils 33 minutes into the game, leaving United with a three goal lead into the first half break.
Facundo Pellestri scored United’s fourth goal from a counterattack involving Eric Baily and Ahmad Diallo, burying all hope of a possible comeback for Liverpool.
Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho and Darwin Nunez all came in as a substitute in the last 30 minutes of the game but could not get a consolation goal for Liverpool.
Manchester United are expected to improve on this pre-season victory over experimental Liverpool team, putting up a better performance this season in the English Premier League.
