Rivers: Obio/Akpor LG chairman appoints 130 special assistants

Obio/Akpor council chairman in Rivers, Chijioke Ihunwo, has appointed 130 special assistants.
“I have appointed the following persons as my Special Assistants,” Mr Ihunwo disclosed this on Wednesday, in a post containing the list of the new appointees but did not specify their portfolios.
“I congratulate them and call on them to serve diligently in the interest of Obio/Akpor local government. Their appointments take immediate effect,” the council chairman added.
This came months after a former chairperson of the caretaker committee of Ikwerre LGA, Darlington Orji, appointed over 300 special assistants, senior special assistants and executive assistants.
