Reps pass vote of confidence in AMAC chairman

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives passed a vote of confidence in the administration of Christopher Maikalangu, who was chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).
The chairman of the House Committee on FCT Area Councils and Ancillary Matters, Frederick Agbedi, said this while addressing journalists after a meeting with officials of AMAC in Abuja.
Mr Agbedi was represented by the member representing Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West, and Ukwuani federal constituency of Delta, Nnamdi Ezechi.
He promised to help Maikalangu address revenue issues between AMAC and the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
He commended the AMAC chairman for being proactive and active in ensuring that AMAC residents enjoyed the dividends of democracy.
Mr Maikalangu said that he needed the assistance of the House of Representatives to provide social amenities for AMAC residents, especially rural dwellers.
He said AMAC had many communities that did not have schools and adequate healthcare facilities.
