Real Madrid officially announce signing of French star Kylian Mbappe

La Liga side, Real Madrid, have announced the signing of French forward Kylian Mbappe on a long term contract following the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the 2023/24 season.
Real Madrid made the announcement on Monday evening which immediately crashed the club’s official website within seconds due to the massive number of people trying to access the site.
The club later posted three-minute video highlights of the player on social media. He is expected to be presented at the Santiago Bernabeu any moment from now.
On Sunday, the 25-year-old signed a five-year deal with Real Madrid until the summer of 2029 with a salary of €15m per season. He will also receive a payment of €150m from Madrid as a signing-on bonus.
The payment would spread across the duration of his contract and the player will keep a percentage of his image rights too, the BBC reported.
“A dream come true. So happy and proud to join the club of my dreams, Real Madrid,” the World Cup winner posted on social media. Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. Can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support. ¡Hala Madrid!,” he said.
