RCCG’s Adeboye exemplary model: Tinubu

President-elect Bola Tinubu has congratulated Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, on his 81st birthday, describing him as an exemplary model.
“As a minister of the gospel, Baba Adeboye has been an exemplary model whose teachings and counsel have continued to serve as moderating and stabilising influence in our country,” Mr Tinubu.
The president-elect in a congratulatory message shared on his official Facebook page wished the cleric sound health as he continues in God’s service.
“Today, I rejoice with Pastor E.A. Adeboye on his special day and praise God on his behalf for the privilege to see his 81st birthday in good health and even greater commitment to the work of God as the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God worldwide,” Mr Tinubu said.
In heat of the presidential campaigns where Mr Tinubu faced great resentment from Christians due to fielding a Mislim-Muslim ticket, claimed that the respected cleric rechristened him Abraham.
Mr Tinubu, regardless of criticism against the choice of his running mate, emerged president-elect on Wednesday.
The former Lagos governor polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat PDP’s Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Peter Obi who polled 6,984,520 and 6,101,533 votes respectively in the hotly contested presidential race.
