Qatar 2022: Morocco beat Spain out of World Cup

In a fierce round of 16 game that ended in a penalty shootout, Morocco knocked Spain out of the ongoing World Cup in Qatar on Tuesday.
Morocco put up a brilliant performance at the Education City Stadium, holding Spain to a goalless draw throughout the game before winning the penalty shootout.
Though Spain dominated ball possession, it counted for nothing as Morocco pulled through to do the damage via penalty shootout.
The last African team in the competition showed strength as they cruised to the quarterfinals beating Spain 3-0.
Abdelhamid Sabiri took Morocco’s first penalty, burning a brilliant strike into Spain’s net, while sending Simon the other way.
Spain’s Pablo Sarabia, however, failed to score his, while Ziyech made it two for Morocco.
Morocco’s keeper, Bono, brilliantly read and saved Carlos Soler’s penalty, while Hakimi fired in his penalty to see the north African team advance into the quarterfinals.
