Qatar 2022: Croatia send Brazil out of World Cup

Croatia booked their place in the semifinals at the ongoing World Cup in Qatar, beating Brazil via penalty shootout in an explosive quarterfinal game at Education City Stadium on Friday.
The Samba Boys were held to a 1-1 draw althrough 120 minutes and eventually defeated in penalty shootout that ended 4-2 in favour of Croatia.
The Croatians put up a brilliant performance as they prevented the Samba Boys from scoring in the first and second half.
Neymar brilliantly exchanged passes with Rodrygo and Pedro, beating Croatia goalkeeper Livakovic before roofing a shot into the net.
It looked like Brazil had won the game but Croatia fought their way back into the game, with Bruno Petkovic canceling Neymar’s goal close to the final whistle, extending the game into penalty shootout.
Livakovic saved Rodrygo’s penalty. Marquinhos hit the goal post, while Croatia scored all four penalties knocking Brazil out of the competition.
