For Zamfara North, the election held on Tuesday, saw Mr Ya’u win with 65,642 votes across the local government areas, defeating Hannafi Musa-Moriki, Sani Abdullahi-Shinkafi, and Tijjani Yahaya,.

Mr Bala said the primaries were conducted transparently and peacefully, with no reports of violence or major disputes.

“We have successfully concluded the exercise. There was no violence or misunderstanding among contestants,” he said.

Mr Bala  urged any aggrieved aspirant to submit complaints to the party’s appeal committee, which would sit on May 28, at the same venue in Gusau.

Mr Bala commended party members, stakeholders, and the media for their support, and lauded the Zamfara government for providing a peaceful environment for the exercise. He reaffirmed APC’s commitment to due process and internal democracy as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.
