Popular Ibadan-based skitmaker ‘Peteru’ dies at 35

Popular Ibadan-based comedian and skitmaker Tobi Omomoyela Nifemi is dead.
Nifemi, best known as “Peteru”, died on Wednesday at age 35. He was known for mimicking people with his skit.
Although the cause of his death was unknown as of the time of filing this report, the entertainment industry has already been thrown into mourning.
Confirming his death, Adams Adebayo, a close friend of the deceased, took to his social media to mourn his demise.
Mr Adebayo wrote; “I am bereaved to read the news of your demise my brother, You are one of the entertainers that is trying his best to put Ibadan on a global map.
“Your role in the comedy and entertainment industry is recognized but it’s sad to read you have went to rest with your maker.
“I pray that Almighty God be with your family and grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he added on his Instagram page.
The popular comedian, said to be the only son of a family of seven, had recently buried his father in November.
