Polish high jumper handed doping ban three days before Olympics

Leading Polish high jumper Norbert Kobielski has received a provisional suspension for doping just three days before the start of the Olympic Games in Paris.
The 27-year-old tested positive for the prohibited substance pentedrone, according to the Athletics Integrity Unit, an independent organisation set up by the sport’s governing body, World Athletics.
Kobielski was in Poland’s Olympic squad after finishing 10th at the 2023 Athletics World Championships in Budapest
.He now faces a provisional ban prior to a final decision at a hearing.
