The police command in Jigawa says it has concluded plans to create four more divisions in the state.
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Lawan Shiisu, disclosed this in Dutse on Thursday.
Mr Shiisu said the command had established five divisions in Sara and Gujungu towns in Taura LGA, Balangu town in Kafinhausha LGA, Yellemen town in Kaugama LGA and Kanya town in Babura LGA.
He said the command would establish the new divisions in Yalwawa and Takur areas of Dutse LGA, Aujara town in Jahun LGA and Fagam town in Gwaram LGA.
“The Jigawa state police command, under the leadership of CP Ahmadu Abdullahi, has added five Divisional Police Headquarters to supplement the 30 divisions. This brought the divisions to a total of 35 across the state.
“The command also plans to create another four divisions within the state. They are Yalwawa, Takur, Aujara and Fagam divisions. All are in an effort to bring the police closer to the public,” Mr Shiisu said.
