On Friday, a 32-year-old mechanic, Amos David, was docked in the Kaduna Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing two laptops and iPhone.
The police charged David, who resides in Kaduna, with breaking-in and entry and theft.
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecution counsel, Chidi Leo, told the court that the defendant committed the offences in Kaduna on December 20, 2021.
Mr Leo explained that the defendant broke into an apartment belonging to the complainant, Fred Chris and stole two laptops worth N320,000 and an iPhone worth 150,000.
He added that the defendant also threatened to harm the complainant.
The offence, he said, contravened sections 57 and 276 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law, 2017.
