Police nab man for sodomising seven-year-old boy

A magistrates’ court in Ilorin on Thursday ordered that a man, Charles Ohanele, be remanded in Mandala Correctional Centre for sodomising a seven-year-old boy.
The police charged Mr Ohanele with sodomy.
Magistrate Afusat Alege did not take the plea of Ohanele for want in jurisdiction.
Ms Alege directed the police to return the case file to the Kwara director of public prosecutions for legal advice.
She adjourned the matter until May 10.
Prosecution counsel Mathew Ologbonsaye told the court that the victim’s mother reported the matter.
He said investigations conducted at the Juvenile Welfare Centre Gender Child Protection Unit revealed that Mr Ohanele, aka Papa, lured the victim to his house with a promise to give him a biscuit.
