Police nab man attempting to sell human bones, skull for N600,000

Operatives of the Iddo Division of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, on Tuesday, arrested one Nuhu Ezra with human bones and a skull.
The command’s public relations officer, Josephine Adeh, disclosed this in a press release issued on behalf of the FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh.
Mrs Adeh said that the police, acting on credible intelligence, trailed and arrested the suspect at about 9:00 p.m., a resident of Gosa Kipikipi Village, Lugbe, Abuja.
The command’s spokesperson said the suspect, upon interrogation, “stated that he picked them up from the bush while hunting at Kuje and had the intention to sell the body parts for six hundred thousand naira (N600,000).”
The police commissioner has, therefore, ordered that a thorough investigation be conducted “to ascertain the bearer of the body parts, the intended buyer, if the suspect killed anyone to be in possession of the body parts, and how long the suspect has been in the alleged business.
Mr Igweh, therefore, urged residents to be wary of their environment and report suspicious activities.
