Police nab Lagos man for robbing online vendors

The Lagos State police command has arrested a 44-year-old man, Olumide Agboola, who allegedly specialised in robbing online vendors in Lagos.
The spokesperson for the command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Monday in Lagos.
Mr Hundeyin said the suspect was arrested by police operatives attached to the Makinde Division.
“He was arrested following a painstaking investigation, launched after a number of reports were received about his activities.
“Different CCTV footage at his various crime scenes have aided in the irrefutable identification of the suspect.
“In his last operation, the suspect dispossessed his victim of her Infinix Hot 9 mobile phone and assorted fabrics, underpants and singlets she came to sell, all valued at N193,000.”
He said the suspect’s method of robbing his victims was to disguise as a buyer, lure them to hotels and rob them of their goods.
According to him, an investigation is ongoing to recover other stolen items from his previous operations.
