Police deploy 431 constables to 21 Adamawa LGAs

The police command in Adamawa has deployed 431 newly recruited constables to boost security across the 21 council areas.
The police commissioner in Adamawa, Sikiru Akande, told the constables on Tuesday in Yola that they must shun corrupt tendencies and acts that would tarnish the image of the police.
Mr Akande also said they must strive to ensure the safety of communities and be good ambassadors of their families and the police.
“I urge you to be committed to upholding professionalism, be God fearing in your official and personal conducts,” the police commissioner stressed.
According to him, the deployment of the constables is to strengthen community policing in line with the vision of inspector general of police Usman Baba.
