Police arrest three brothers for stealing N365,000

Twins, Taye and Kehinde Taiwo 22, as well as their younger brother, Israel Taiwo, 20, on Tuesday appeared before the Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court charged with N365,000 theft.
The defendants are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem, told the court that the offences were committed on November 11, 2023, at 18, Ogooluwa St., Iju-Ishaga in Lagos State.
Mr Akeem said one of the twins (Taye), a hairstylist, stole an ATM card belonging to his employer, Jumoke 0reofero, and withdrew N365,000 from her account.
The prosecutor said the hairstylist thereafter fled from his workplace. But when he was apprehended named his siblings as accomplices.
The offences Mr Akeem said, contravened sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Chief magistrate Bola Osunsanmi granted the defendants N50,000 bail each, and with two sureties each in like sum.
Ms Osunsanmi adjourned the case until February 8 for mention.
