No fewer than 41 suspects have been arrested for alleged narcotics-related activities in Ghana during an intelligence-led operation in Lapaz and Chantan.
In a statement on Saturday, the police said the suspects were arrested on Thursday during raids on targeted locations.
“The operation, conducted at about 12:00 noon, targeted criminal and narcotics related activities in the two areas,” the police said.
The statement added that the arrested suspects comprised 35 males and six females.
“A search conducted on the suspects and within the operational areas led to the retrieval of quantities of dried leaves suspected to be narcotic substances,” it said.
