Please endure economic hardship; support Tinubu’s govt, Abuja council chair tells Nigerians

The chairman of the Bwari Area Council, John Gabaya, wants youths and Nigerians to be patient and support President Bola Tinubu-led administration for a better Nigeria.
“We are all aware of the economic crises in the country, but we want to tell our people that please let us endure as it will not be forever; in a short while, things will be better,” Mr Gabaya said in an interview in Abuja while reacting to the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests.
He added, “All we need to do is to support the administration so that we can grow together, and I am sure God will help us.”
On the protest, Mr Gabaya said so far, the people in the area council had been of good behaviour and had not taken laws into their hands, which was commendable.
He said: “Yes, it is our civil right to protest, but many understand the situation that we are going through and I want to say that we do not take that for granted.
“Even though things are hard, we want to still call on youths and people of Bwari Area Council that in a short while, things will be better and I pray that God Almighty will see us through.
On the impact of the council in the area, Mr Gabaya said much had been done within the last two years to provide basic infrastructure for the people, adding that more would still be done.
“I know we have about four roads that have been constructed between now and the last two years in the area.
“We have the road from Deeper Life junction, there is another one from Kubwa Market area that was constructed by the Bwari Area Council.
“There is an ongoing road construction around 2/1 in Kubwa that is being constructed by the council, so we are doing a lot,” he said.
He, therefore, urged the people to continue to pray for leaders of the council and the country at large to enable them to do better for the citizens.
