Omobolanle Raheem, a lawyer allegedly killed by a police officer, Drambi Vandi, was buried on Tuesday amidst tears.
The 41-year-old, survived by her husband, Gbenga Raheem and daughter, was buried at Vaults and Gardens (Mayfair) cemetery, Awoyaya in Lekki.
The funeral was held at Olive Tree Parish, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Banana Island.
Her husband, daughter, sister, relatives, friends, pastors from the RCCG and sympathisers attended the burial service.
Delivering a sermon at the service, Okechukwu Enelamah, a former minister of industry, trade and investment, said Ms Raheem’s “relatively short life” was full of great impacts.
Mr Enelamah said the circumstances that led to the lawyer’s death had elicited widespread reactions that will bring about societal reforms.
