PDP warns APC defectors against electoral fraud, violence

Isah Madorawa, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Sokoto, has warned APC defectors and other supporters to be wary of all electoral fraud and violence.
Mr Madorawa said this when he received dozens of defectors from the APC to PDP in Raha, Dingyadi and Badawa communities in the Bodinga local council on Sunday.
He urged party supporters to consider their movement a journey of hope that would help transform the state and Nigeria into a better society in recognition of PDP manifestos and planned policies.
He urged the electorate to vote for PDP candidates at all levels during the February 25 and March 11 elections and be wary of all electoral fraud capable of disrupting the system.
Mr Madorawa described PDP as an organised party that can redeem Nigerians from suffering and enhance Nigerians’ social and economic well-being.
Representing the defectors, Dansule Abubakar stated that they left APC because of confusion, distrust, misguidance and misunderstanding among the party’s members.
According to him, he defected with Abubakar Ma’aji, Umar Shehu Sakatare, and about 150 others in the communities.
The chairman of the PDP in Bodinga LG, Abubakar Saidu-Sifawa, and council chairman Shehu Danmalikin-Danchadi promised them fairness and support.
Other PDP stalwarts in attendance were the deputy speaker of the Sokoto House of Assembly, Abubakar Magaji, Alhaji Umar Manuga, Haliru-Sifawa, Chika Bodinga and Bafashi Dabaga, among others.
